“I have been exposed to the fantastic work that The Hadley Community does through my father’s direct involvement in the charity as a member, and now President of the Board of Directors. I recently joined the board myself for several reasons. First and foremost, I believe that mental health and housing are two systemic problems in Canada that are not receiving the funding they require to tackle them. Second, I though it would be fun to get involved in charity work alongside my father, as well as one of our old family friends (Mr. Robin Burns). Finally, I thought that my experience working in international development and managing institutional funding could pro-vide an added value to the Hadley Board.”
Tracey Burns, Anne's House Tenant Committee & Fundraising
Works in the student services department at John Abbott College. Proud married mother of two boys, one girl and two dogs.
“I started coming down to visit The Hadley Community years ago with my father Robin. “Anne’s House” is named after my aunt and godmother, Anne Burns so it is near and dear to my heart. With the help of all the amazing women in my life, including my mom, aunts, sister-in-laws, cousins and friends, I have been able to fundraise every Christmas for the last 4 years and put together gift baskets for the wonderful ladies who live in “Anne’s House”. I decided to get more involved and join the Board of Directors because I want to more involved in the Hadley Community”
